This feature lets you create a snapshot of the entire (sub)network at the same time in order to capture a consistent state of SNMP agents on interconnected devices, so the network can be simulated even more realistically.
Improved and enhanced agent snapshot editor.
The built-in agent snapshot editor (MIB object instance editor) is now even more versatile with enhanced functions that let you quickly add new table instances (rows), easily remove table instances (rows), add new leaf object instances with arbitrary OID, syntax and value, find specific OIDs and values, etc. In addition, the performance of the agent snapshot editor has been greatly improved, meaning that large agent snapshots now load and display significantly faster.
New SNMP statistics graph.
Collected SNMP traffic statistics (e.g., the number of received and sent SNMP packets, number of queried OIDs, number of sent SNMP Traps, etc.) can now be displayed and monitored in a graph (multi-line chart). The graph is automatically updated to show the current changes in SNMP traffic fluctuations for the given SNMP agent.
Improved application performance and stability.
Many optimizations and performance improvements have been implemented both, in SNMP Agent Simulator service and GUI part of the application. Furthermore, all known issues in previous versions have been fixed and overall stability and reliability of the software has been improved.
Significantly extended collection of standard MIB files.
The software now ships with a significantly extended collection of 379 standard MIB modules, which we extracted from RFC documents. MG-SOFT SNMP Agent Simulator lets you generate an agent snapshot from any number of standard and private MIB files and simulate SNMP agents "implementing" these MIB modules.
